FW and I will be in Sauga come August! we had our offer accepted and barring any catastrophic changes we will be moving out of our respective homes in just about a month. Relieved to have that wrapped up but now need to start looking for furniture and what not. Who else wants to move out that way? I hear its the place to be!!

did you feel the mountains tremble

we had a 5.5 earthquake this afternoon and it was such a weird feeling. lasted a few seconds only but my chair and desk were all shaking. i thought someone was just shaking the other side of my cubby wall but apparently not. good to see that there was no real damage, only cracked roads and minor building damage.

things have been busy lately. we put down an offer to rent yesterday so hoping that works out, we'll find out sometime before friday 9pm. hoping it works out so we can stop looking but we'll have to wait and see. i started my new job on monday and so far (3 days in) its been okay. havent really had much to do as per usual when you start a new job, just getting settled in. and of course all the wedding stuff that needs to be done. FW is in hamilton another month so we'll need to coordinate things on weekends which seem to be filling up rather quickly these days.

today feels like it should be a friday, its gorgeous outside and my afternoon has been fairly clear. still, its a tuesday which means plenty of week left to be worked. more errands to be run here and there, can't wait for the weekend again, going to go look at some places in sogs... anyone else want to move out there? for a year? haha

change

just sent off an email that will introduce some change into my life, its always scary and difficult to hit that send button. maybe we're conditioned to enjoy the comfortable and known and by default we're resistant to change - or maybe its just me. i'd love to be able to embrace change more and learn to not only approach it with confidence and fearlessness, but also genuinely seek it out in my life to keep things fresh.

dont you just love fridays? this weekend feels like it should be a long weekend. nice weather ahead, lots to do though! hoping for a nice peaceful relaxing one!

hawaii weather

apparently we've matched hawaii weather today.. can i just say i LOVE the AC in our office. im wearing a short sleeve and im a bit nippy here. best feeling is walking into the building and feeling that blast of cold air hit you as you enter. i think i'll go do that now!

and finally we get some warm weather! this weekend was real nice and it looks like its continuing into this week. hopefully the warm stays and the rain holds off for the next little bit. thursday's doubleheader got rained out like crazy, but only after we were done getting soaked while warming up. gross i am surprised i didn't get sick from it but so far so good! looking forward to the long weekend ahead, about bloody time!

april showers bring may snow

we're already into may, i cant believe it. this year is flying by! it snowed this past weekend and we're getting a frost warning in vaughan / rh / markham... can you believe its may?! i know historically we do get a few cold days into summer but this is just a blast. summer is pretty much here though so i do hope it warms up later this week...

i have to do a sharing thing at sg tomorrow.. have no idea what to say! all i remember about life is my hs years+! anything before that is fragmented!

today is a great day to play hookie, it is so gorgeous outside as well! need to find me some green beer at lunch! too bad the weather isnt lasting til this weekend, we are back to rainy days ahead.

the neverending search

since the dawn of mankind, the dominant and prevailing questions of existence and meaning in life have been followed by the equally important search for a work booger wall. yes you heard me. what is the equivalent of a booger wall at work? in the comforts of your own home you can go ahead and put them anywhere you want. in my old house the wall by my bed is absolutely smeared with boogers. what do you do at work? i find myself wanting to clear the nose out but theres nowhere to put the bogarts once extracted. my cubicle walls are relatively high but the surface isnt hard enough to get a good smear going. i could wipe under my desk but im afraid of smudging my pantlegs later. if you come up with a good suggestion for a place to hide bogeys at work i'd love to hear it.

when i go to sleep late my body over-compensates for wanting to get up on time and i always end up getting up way earlier than expected. i was watching the raptors game until about 1 last night and i ended up getting up around 7 this morning when really i shold have slept in til about 8.

oh well, guess i'll just have to nap at work this afternoon.
